Alexey Sokolov was born March 6, 1984. Seven years old he began studying classical guitar.
In 1994 the family moved to Arkhangelsk, where Alexey continued his studies.
Alexey is the winner of the regional competitions in his age group.
In 2001, Alexey entered the Graduate College of Music at the Moscow State Conservatoire named after Tchaikovsky.
In 2006, Alexey continued his studies at the State Classical Academy in the class of lecturer Finkelstein. With this name are associated prizes of international competitions, maturing as a musician, professional development of Alexey.

International Competition ＇Guitar Virtuoso＇, St. Petersburg 2008 - 3rd Prize
3rd International Competition ＇Dniprovski Constellations＇, Kiev 2008 - 2 nd Prize
International competition ＇Brahman＇, Vladivostok 2009 - 1 st Prize

Currently, Alexey is continuing his studies at the Academy, takes part in various competitions and festivals.
In the spring of 2010, Alexey will have a tour to South Korea, where as the winner of international guitar competition ＇Brahman＇ he plans a series of solo concerts and recording a solo CD.
